Abstract

An employee whose has a good performance can help the organization in achieving its intended purpose organizations lead to improvements in public services. Performance of employees, especially in the Civil Registry Office has become problems being discussed by the public (citizen of Tanah Bumbu district) because it concerns on the public service. Based on the phenomenon that occurs low performance caused by the effect of compensation justice such as Distributive Compensation Justice, Procedural Compensation Justice and job satisfaction.The object of this study is Civil Registry Office in Tanah Bumbu and the subjects are all of the employees whose work in the Civil Registry Office in Tanah Bumbu. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis approach. The data were collected through observation, questionnaire and interview, then the data was analyze using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using smart software Partial Least Squares (PLS).The results of the study showed that Distributive Compensation Justice and Procedural Compensation Justice had a significant influence on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction, Distributive Compensation Justice and Procedural Compensation Justice also had a significant influence on employees’ performance. According to the research results above, it is suggested to the Civil Registry Office of  Tanah Bumbu, in order to improve the performance of the employees especially on the variable of  Distributive Compensation Justice and Job satisfaction by implementing wage distribution and promotion system which is fair and transparent to the employees so they are satisfied and it can create better performance of the employees.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to look at the effect Quality of Work Life,  Need for Achievement,  Need  for Affiliation, dan  Need  for Power, on the performance of the employees subdistrict of Kulon Progo regency Special Province of Yogyakarta.The data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires addressed to the 267 employees,  to obtain an answer for each item of respondents' perception of the research variable statement. Of the tota questionnaires distributed, 214 questionnaires were returned and readily processed. The data analysis method used was multiple regression analysis to examine the effect Quality of Work Life,  Need for Achievement,  Need  for Affiliation, dan  Need  for Power, on the performance.The test conducted partially showed that Quality of Work Life,  Need for Achievement,  Need  for Affiliation  have a significant positive impact on the performance of  the employees subdistrict of Kulon Progo regency. On the other hand, Need  for Power  does not affect the performance of the employees  subdistrict of Kulon Progo regency. While the test conducted simultaneously showed that Quality of Work Life,  Need for Achievement,  Need  for Affiliation, dan  Need  for Power  have a significant positive impact on the performance of the employees subdistrict of Kulon Progo regency.

Abstract

This study is aimed at examining the influence of entrepreneurial traits including need for achievement, self-efficacy, and risk taking propensity towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. The population of this study is students of AMA YPK Yogyakarta. This study used purposive sampling in which the criteria of the sample were those who had joined in entrepreneur class. The total numbers of sample processed were 90 students.    Based on the test of hypothesis using multiple regression, it resulted that need for achievement and self-efficacy gave influence toward students’ entrepreneurial intention, while risk taking propensity did not have any influence toward students’ entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract

With the good and fair of compensation will spur the spirit and creativity of the work so that it can show the performance, which will ultimately increase good productivity. The compensation granted to employees is very influential on the level of job satisfaction and motivation, as well as the work results.This research is purposed to exam whether compensation fairness effect on employee job satisfaction, and whether there is difference in the perception of compensation fairness and job satisfaction based on the job type. Compensation fairness is using the distributive fairness and procedural fairness constructs (Tjahjono, 2007). This research has been conducted at Nissan Bantul Yogyakarta. A total of 58 employees in marketing and non-marketing division participates provide an answer for this research. To examine the effect of independent sample t-test, the data are analyzed using SPSS.The analysis shows that there is the effect of compensation distributive fairness on job satisfaction, the effect of procedural compensation fairness on job satisfaction, and no difference in perception between marketing and non-marketing employees.

Abstract

The Internet is an electronic means, which can be used for various activities, such as: communication, research, or other business transactions. Internet technology connects thousands of individual computer networks and organizations, worldwide. There are at least six reasons why internet technology is so popular. The six reasons are: the internet has wide connectivity and range, can reduce communication costs, lower transaction costs, can reduce agency costs, interactive, flexible, easy, and have the ability to distribute knowledge more quickly. Online shopping is more interesting with the ever-expanding Internet deployment, at this time. The study looked at whether: risk factors, benefit perceptions, perceptions of ease of use, and reputation perceptions affect consumer confidence in online shopping, as well as to know whether trust affects the willingness to shop online. Population and sample research, is elementary school teacher (SD) in Bantul regency. Data analysis in this research is done by SEM (Structural Equation Model). Respondents were 150 respondents. Perceptions of social trust, perception of benefits, perceptions of ease of use have a positive effect on trust. Risk perception has a negative relationship to trust. Perception of reputation has no positive effect on trust. Trust positively affects the willingness to buy online.

Abstract

Members in cooperative enterprises have multiple roles, as owners and customers or users, so that the sustainability of cooperative business is dependent on the participation of members. Cooperative education and organizational commitment for most cooperatives have not been considered as an important role to increase member participation. This study aims to determine the influence of cooperative education on the participation of members and the influence of organizational commitment to member participation.Sampling technique in this research use accidental sampling technique with questioner. The analysis used is structural equation modeling (SEM). The population is a member of Cooperative CU Pundhi Arta with a total of 109 respondents. The results showed that cooperative education and organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on the participation of members in Cooperative CU Pundhi Arta.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to examine how the seed sector contribution to the GRDP Kulon Progo District of Yogyakarta Special Region. The study was conducted by analyzing secondary data time series based on the undertaking of the GRDP from 2009 to 2013.Location Quotient analysis results show featured sector Kulon Progo there are four sectors, namely agriculture, mining and quarrying, manufacturing, and services sectors. Based on Shift-Share analysis, it was concluded that the Construction Sector topped the largest percentage of positive growth, the largest production ratio, and the value of the largest Net Shift in Kulon Progo District. According to the Boston Consulting Group Matrix, the services sector is the only sector of the economy in Kulon Progo which are in quadrant star. So, these services sector need to be maintained in order to increase its policy of high growth rates and contributed greatly to the Kulon Progo GRDP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether transformational and transactional leadership styles have an impact on subordinate performance. Also we want to analyze the effect of job satisfaction as a mediating role.The study was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Pakem and SMK Muhammadiyah 1Moyudan, Sleman. The number of samples was  110 respondents(teachers and school employees).  Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the transformational leadership style did not have a significant influence on subordinate performance while transactional one influenced positively. The transformational leadership style had a significant influence on job satisfaction. The result of the transactional leadership style on job satisfaction was  negative, while job satisfaction had a very significant influence on subordinate performance. Based on these studies, it was recommended that the principal should apply a combination of both Transformational and Transactional leadership styles in accordance with the situation and the nature of the particular task assigned to the employee. In addition,  Transactional leadership style is more preferable in improving employee performance to reach optimal organizational performance.
